Why Use Diamond Compaction
Wheels ?
Safety - Speed -
Efficiency - Effectiveness - Productivity
The one unique feature that makes the
"WHEEL" so effective is its' "OPEN RIM" design. The
wheel is able to penetrate through the lift of trench fill and compact
the soil from the bottom up rather than the top down.
The equipment operator, after using the "WHEEL" for a
reasonable amount of time, can normally tell that he has reached his
required compaction by the feel of the wheel in the ditch through the
hydraulic controls of the machine.
Compaction wheels are quickly becoming the
"Compaction Tool of Choice" for many pipeline and utility
contractors. The wheel out performs most other methods of backfill
compaction and with contractors facing growing safety concerns over
"men in the trench" regulations, the backhoe or excavator
mounted compaction wheel will increase safety by operating the equipment
outside the trench. Test have shown that even in a variety of soil
conditions the compaction wheel can often reach lift thickness in excess
of 4 feet for excavators and 2 feet for backhoes. Combine that
size of lift with the speed in which the wheel can create those results
